LoopChoir is an app for recording multi-part a cappella videos, made by Little Beetle, the app studio of Daniel Zhuk in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. “We” in this policy means Little Beetle. For any question about privacy, email [email protected].
| Permission | What it’s for |
|---|---|
| Camera | Filming you while you record a part, and showing the live preview in the grid. |
| Microphone | Recording your voice. Without earphones, the app also uses the recording to remove the sound that leaked in from the speaker. |
| Storage (Android 9 and older only) | Saving your finished video to your gallery. Newer Android versions don’t need this permission. |
The camera and microphone are only active while the LoopChoir screen is open. They stop as soon as you leave the app.
Every video saved by LoopChoir contains a small technical label inside the file: the grid layout, the loop length, the number of repeats and the tempo. This lets another LoopChoir user sing along with your video in sync. The label contains no name, account, location or other personal information.
When you tap Share, Android’s own share menu opens and you choose where the video goes (for example WhatsApp or Instagram). From that moment, the privacy policy of that app or service applies to what you share.
If you email us, we use your message and email address only to reply and to help you. We keep these emails for as long as needed to handle your question, and delete them at your request.
loopchoir.app uses no cookies, no analytics and no tracking, and it loads its fonts from our own site, not from Google. The company that hosts the website automatically keeps standard server logs (such as IP addresses and the pages requested) for security and to keep the site running. We don’t use those logs to identify or follow you.

We don’t sell or rent any information, and we don’t share it with anyone for advertising.
LoopChoir doesn’t collect personal information from children. Because recordings show a person’s face and voice, we recommend that children use the app with a parent or guardian and think carefully before sharing videos publicly. Children shouldn’t join the beta without a parent’s permission.
You can ask us at any time which of your information we have (in practice: your email address and any messages), to correct it, or to delete it. Recordings and videos are only on your own phone, where you can delete them yourself, or all at once by uninstalling the app. You can also complain to your data protection authority; in the Netherlands that’s the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
We won’t quietly change how LoopChoir treats your data. If a future version needs more than what’s described here, for example optional paid extras, accounts, an online feed or cloud sharing, it will be optional, we’ll explain it in the app before you use it, and we’ll update this policy and its date first. Beta testers will also hear about it by email. Any payments would always go through Google Play or the App Store, so we would never see your payment details.
